Once you can draw with confidence, can begin to understand how to apply tone, then members are taught to taking the next level of working with colour. Yes, once you work with colour, it becomes more complicated as you then have to deal with the components of colour, particularly flesh tones. Once again you will be taught to start with the basics when using colour. I introduce members to using two basic colour flesh tones: Burnt Sienna plus White. Also a good base colour is Yellow Ochre, into which you can mix a wide range of reds, modified with white, and get very good results for flesh tones.
